Hej alla! 🙂
This last week (4-11 December) was the Nobel Week and a with this post I want to show you one of the events that was carried out at Aula Medica in Karolinska Institutet: the Nobel Lectures in Physiology or Medicine.
The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded this year with one half jointly to Satoshi Ōmura and William C. Campbell, for their discoveries concerning a novel therapy against infections caused by roundworm parasites, and the other half to Youyou Tu, for her discoveries concerning a novel therapy against malaria.
In the Nobel Lectures, the three award-winning scientists gave a speech about their awarded research of which you can see a piece in the video!
The amount of people that wanted to assist to this ceremony was incredible! The entrance was free for everyone and there was a lot of media, specially Japanese and Chinese journalists. It was a very good experience and I felt so glad to be able to assist as a KI student!
I hope you like the video and now you know… if you wanna be there next year, go to wait in line early!!!
Keeeep tuned! 🙂
