Good evening dear readers,
it’s a rainy tuesday here in Stockholm. Today all of us KI bloggers had a lunch-meeting and since many of us are new, we had a little “get-to-know-each-other-better”-mingle in the beginning of the session.
One of the questions we were answering in the group was: “what did I use to dream about becoming as I was growing up?”
A few had dreamt about becoming doctors and succeeded. But mostly we had dreamt of other things than what we are currently studying.
What makes us eventually choose what we do?
For me, it’s like I told you in the last post. It was largely due to chance. However, when I read the description of the biomedicine programme in the KI catalogue it really got me excited and awakened my curiousity. That’s when I ultimately decided to apply.
But honestly, I haven’t entirely let go of my childhood dreams. I still dream of writing a best-selling novel one day. I still write songs and dream of singing them live, if I dare…
This summer, a friend of mine actually did record me playing one of my songs. I’m going to put the link to the video here. If you listen, sorry about the guitar, I’m not a very strong player. Feel free to comment. Now I can at least say I’ve tried :).
What do you dream of? What makes you choose?
